With songs at the top of the charts such as: “Sexy Bitch,” “Turn Me On,” and “Titanium,” David Guetta holds a spot at the forefront of not only EDM, but the entire music scene. He currently has sold over 6 million albums and over 15 million singles to date. He’s been honored with titles such as #1 on DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” and his new singles are regularly hitting the top of the charts. As he told Jonathan Ross on his TV Show, he often plays live in three countries each day and exclaims, “I love doing this. This is my life.”
Guetta began his music career at age 17, playing at clubs in the mid-90’s with a few minor hits that brought him some attention. His first two albums, Just A Little More Love and Guetta Blaster had limited success, but made his name known in select circles and his popularity began to grow. His next album, Life Pop (2007), shot him into success. The track “Love is Gone,” made the #1 hit on the American Dance Chart and in 2009 he was honored on DJ Magazine’s “Top 100 DJs” as #3. His popularity grew even further with One Love (2009), which included the single, “Sexy Bitch.” Since then, he has been featured and produced in countless popular songs such as The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” “Where Them Girls At” featuring Flo Rida, and “Turn Me On” with Nicki Minaj.
With all these hit songs and growing popularity, its no wonder Guetta is becoming a household name. He continues to produce tracks with his signature house and progressive house sound, but with a unique inventive side that is evident in every new tune he releases. His list of collaborative artists could fill a page and he shows no signs of quitting the business. We expect to see Guetta at the head of house music for years to come.
