With sweet and soulful female vocals, set to a continuously varying bass-filled backdrop, Adventure Club brings melodic dubstep through the realms of trap, hardstyle, house, and more. Influenced by an array of artists, ranging from Flux Pavillion, Tiesto, Bring Me the Horizon, and Skrillex, Christian Srigley and Leighton James began their musical career in high school, forming a hardcore pop-punk band in 2009. From Montreal, Quebec, this duo soon realized their strong love for and draws to electronic music. The course of their career soon took a turn, and they created one of today’s major players in the EDM industry, Adventure Club, that has only been increasing in popularity ever since.
Adventure Club is well known for incorporating beautiful, female vocals into their songs, giving their music a very expressive quality. Especially during their live performances, this element of Adventure Club’s music has the ability to move listeners and really delve into their emotions. With the power of music, they are able to connect their crow’s individual, meaningful experiences to their lyrics, creating a moving power that surges through their audiences, bringing everyone together. Unlike many DJs, who use Ableton Live software to create their music, Adventure Club mixes with Cakewalk SONAR, which they credit to giving them the ability to create their harmonious, bass sounds. However, this soft singing does not bring their music anywhere near a slow moving halt. In unison with the use of melodious vocals, Adventure Club lays upbeat, electrifying build-ups followed by intense drops, ranging anywhere from dupstep, to trap, to house.
Recently, Adventure Club has joined into collaboration with EDM Lifestyle, creating rope style bracelets that display their signature colors, red and blue, for cancer awareness. These bracelets have been selling for $13, with all of the profit being donated to ‘Fuck Cancer Charity.’ As of January 2014, the Adventure Club bracelets have raised over 14k and are so popular that they regularly go ‘out of stock.’ In addition to spreading awareness for cancer, Adventure Club recently released their first EP Calling All Heroes Pt. 1 on October 22, 2013. The new EP showcased their hit single “Gold (feat. Yuna),” that clearly exemplifies their classic use of attractive vocals dropped into brilliant dubstep. This year, Adventure Club does not plan on stopping this thunder. They will be playing Ultra, Aries, Coachella, Houston Free Press, and Wakarusa music festivals, as well as Northern Lights and Electric Elements festivals in Canada. They will also be headlining two Life in Color shows in Indiana and Illinois. Get a taste of Adventure Club’s new EP at: and keep a lookout for the opportunity to see them at a venue near you.
