Kill Paris & Illenium Take Over Denver

The Gothic Theater in Denver, Colorado is the place to be this Saturday night as Colorado phonemes Kill Paris & Illenium team up for one of the biggest events this venue has hosted in quite some time. Corey Baker (KP) has started out his Kill Paris and Friends tour in his home state of Colorado, hitting a plethora of intimate venues all across the state. Recently selling out the Fox Theatre just last weekend, I’m sure that this show is expected to sell out as well. Speaking of sell outs, Nick Miller (Illenium) is fresh off his first sold out headlining show at the Bluebird Theater just a month back. Together these two producers bring a live show unlike anything else in the scene.

Kill Paris combines smooth melodic verses with perfectly placed vocals and unique synths to create a coveted sound heard in songs such as “The Walk” and his remix of Carbon Airway’s “Black Sun”. Behind the scenes, Corey has built up an incredibly dedicated fan base by streaming his production sessions via Twitch, answering questions and showing up and coming producers how he makes his sounds. His live sets combine his own originals and remixes with some of the hottest tracks in the scene, making for a diverse live show that is not only groovy, but also energetic and enthralling. Racking up over 150k Soundcloud followers, Corey’s most recent remix “Powers” has accumulated hundreds of thousands of plays and has also been featured on channels such as Thissongissick and MrSuicideSheep.

Illenium has been experiencing one of the largest grossing years out of any electronic this year, recently winning Kaskade’s “Disarm You” remix contest just a few months back. Racking up 10k new Soundcloud followers in the past 2 moths alone, his remix of Kill Paris’s “Operate” is a perfect example of why these two artists deserve to be on the same bill. Along with his first release off his upcoming album “Only One”, Nick has created a platform for what I believe to be the future of electronic festival music. With long, intimate build ups leading to a wide variety of heavenly drops, Illenium compliments his remixes with grungy trap fillers that make for one of the best live sets that you’ll see in quite some time. His remix of Oh Wonder’s “Shark” has accumulated almost 2 million plays on Soundcloud alone, along with his remix of Phoebe Ryan’s “Mine” which recently broke a million plays as well. As if his 88k Soundcloud followers weren’t a strong enough testament as to why you should definitely come and support this rising artist, his most recent remix of Niykee Heaton’s “Infinity” will surely swing your vote.

Tickets to this event are just $30 after fees, and with so much talent jam packed into one breathe taking evening, it seems illogical not to grab yours while supplies still last. I can assure this event is set to sell out, so I highly recommend grabbing your ticket before you’re left trying to land one on Stubhub or from a scalper outside the event. Doors open at 930, so be sure to make your way in soon after to enjoy this event to its fullest potential. I look forward to an amazing evening with all you beautiful people and here’s to an evening that we’ll all surely remember for months to come.
