Everybody is flocking to the sandy white beaches of Gulf Shores, AL May 15-17th for one of the hottest music festivals of the summer, Hangout Music Fest. With some of the best acts of the summer this is one you don’t want to miss. This killer line up includes acts like Foo Fighters, Skrillex, Foster the People, Umphrey’s McGee, GRiZ, ODESZA, Gramatik, Beats Antique and many more.
The first year of Hangout Fest in 2010 saw 15,000 attendees per day, just 5 years later in 2015 they expect an attendance of 50,000 per day. The past 5 years have sold out in a timely fashion and this year is no different, this is one festival you don’t want to sleep on. 3-Day General Admission tickets are still on sale for $249, 3-Day VIP will run you $1099 and will grant you access to amenities like a VIP viewing area at both of the main stages, admittance to the Thursday Kickoff Party, private bathrooms, Main Stage VIP swimming pools**, and all of the food and alcohol you can eat and drink. Hangout Fest also offers a SUPER VIP Package for the price tag of $1599, this high class package includes all VIP amenities, meals prepared by celebrity chefs, air-conditioned dining room, elevated viewing area w/ hot tubs at the main stage, golf cart transportation, and concierge service.
Hangout Fest does not offer any designated camping. However if you visit their website you will find that Hangout Fest does give several recommendations for hotels and condos that are close to the event with short walks to the beach. Another awesome option that many fest attendees choose is camping at Gulf State Park, attendees transform this park into a Hangout community for the event annually, festival organizers offer $5 shuttles that will take you and your group to and from various campgrounds, hotels, and the event. Yet another wonderful option that is available in Gulf Shores are vacation rental homes, many of the locals rent out their homes for the event, these are great opportunity for groups of friends to capitalize on, you save money and have the privacy of a sweet beach home, having done this myself I highly recommend it!
