CRNKN Takes Over the 1UP

Gabe Baer, better known by his stage name CRNKN, is all set to take over the 1UP on Colfax tomorrow night, bringing his phenomenal future trap taste to one of the hottest rising venues in town. The front page of his official website reads “Hey, I’m CRNKN” followed by the promising statement “I’m based in LA, but I hail from New Hampshire.I try my best to make music that isn’t stale or pedantic, and that challenges everything I’ve made thus far. I promise not to make the same thing twice.” With amazing remixes of Waka Flocka’s “No Handz”, Alesso’s “Cool”, and the newly released remix of Odesza’s “Memories That You Call”, CRNKN puts a unique touch of gold on everything he touches. Combining future, deep, and melodic house elements with upbeat trap kicks and snares, Gabe’s set are some of the most unique around. Mixing in old school hip-hop classics to make for an unforgettable set, this show is not one that you want to miss.

Baer also happens to have a pretty awesome view on the future of electronic music, sitting down to talk about where he would like to see the direction of mainstream EDM headed over the course of the next few years. It’s quite evident that CRNKN will most certainly be spicing things up Wednesday night, and as far as I’m concerned, this is shaping up to be one of the best shows the 1UP has hosted in quite some time. Recently breaking the coveted 100k Soundcloud followers mark earlier today , you can definitely expect the place to be pretty packed come midnight. I encourage you to get to the venue as early as possible, as opening support from Slightlow is sure to get this night popping very soon after doors open.

Tickets to this show are only $7 in advance and $12 tomorrow on the day of the show. Granted these prices are before fees, but I assure you this is more than a fair price to pay to see a producer who is quickly rising in popularity at an exponential rate. Expect CRNKN to take the stage shortly after midnight, and be prepared for one hell of a night as this show is all set to rage until about 130 AM. As far as I’m concerned, I find it very hard to believe that there would be something else to do that is nearly as enticing as CRNKN’s debut headlining performance. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night, and here’s to knowing that Gabe will surely live up to all the hype he’s developed over the course of the past few years.
