CU Program Council Presents: Stööki Sound, with Toy Box, Hyperion

Gracing us with their presence from across the pond, Stooki Sound will be playing a show at CU Boulder’s very own Club 156 this Thursday, April 9th. Direct support will feature artists Toy Box (Denver based Carter Matthews) and Hyperion (CU’s very own Bryan Bakke). Now, you might not know what Club 156 is, and that’s okay since not many people know about this hidden gem on Boulder’s beautiful campus. Club 156 is located inside The Connection Bowling Alley at the University Memorial Center. Cool, right? The venue is perfect if you’re down to see an intimate show while not wandering too far from the CU campus or Boulder in general.

For those of you who haven’t heard, Stooki Sound is made up of 2 very innovative and talented producers, DJ Lukey and Jelacee. Together, they seamlessly blend their knowledge of UK Bass, Trap, and Hip-Hop, creating a unique and extremely creative sound that is sought after by many producers, big and small alike. Stooki’s movement is a collective based on “sound, vision, and play” and they do much, much more than curate awesome music. Stooki as a brand also prides themselves on being an art collective, providing interactive art installations for high-profile events, and collaborating with brands such as Nintendo, Louis Vuitton, Red Bull, and MTV, just to name a few. However, their creativity doesn’t end there. Stooki also has their own jewelry line under the name “House of Stooki” which includes gorgeous modern made-to-order pieces for those willing to pay beaucoup bucks for one of a kind jewelry straight from the UK.

Stooki Sound is currently on tour in the U.S., and now is your chance to see them live at a venue near you. Colorado is lucky enough to have the duo play two shows in one week, at Cervantes’ Other Side in Denver and on the CU Boulder campus. If you don’t live in the area, you may very well still be able to catch them in another city, possibly with Flosstradamus if you’re in Palm Springs, CA, or with TroyBoi if you’re in San Francisco or LA. As for you Boulderites, this show at Club 156 is one you won’t wanna miss. See you guys there!
