Adventure Club on The Rocks

Finally! It seems that Red Rocks season has snuck up on us. If you’re dying of thirst for some electronic music on the rocks- rejoice! Adventure Club is coming to Morrison, Colorado May 8th to kick off your summer bringing with them Keys n’ Krates, Minnesota, ETC! ETC! and more. Adventure Club is back and ready to kick ass at Red Rocks again after successfully headlining Global Dance Festival 2014.

Christian Srigley and Leighton James of AC have deemed the amphitheater as one of their most beloved venues to play at annually. The Canadian duo’s monstrous sound pairs perfectly with the monolithic red rock that surrounds the crowd. Per Red Rocks’s new sound ordinances, the pair won’t be able to blast our ears with bass as loud as they may want; but that just means they will go extra hard to satisfy Colorado’s undeniable need for epic music.

Adventure Club has dominated the EDM scene for years, and there’s no sign of them stopping. With thousands of performances at festivals and concerts all over the world under their belt, they have perfected their dub craft. It’s no doubt that fans will be joining from all corners of the great state; not to mention those making the journey from across the country for the night of the 8th.

Opener Keys n’ Krates have an ever expanding fan base- especially here in Colorado. Hailing from the maple-leaf country of Canada like Adventure Club, Keys n’ Krates puts their own distinctive spin on electronic. The trio Adam Tune (drummer), David Matisse (synthesizer/keyboardist), and Jr. Flo (turntablist) have overturned the stereotype that all electronic music is one measly DJ on decks. The band will provide fans with super lively- get off your seat tunes. Songs like “Dum Dee Dum” and “Every Night” have put their name on the map for good. Not to mention just having the pleasure of watching musicians play will give this night an edge.

Minnesota, a Santa Cruz born and Minnesotan raised producer by the name of Christian Bauhofer, has been performing in Colorado almost his whole career. The University of Colorado, Boulder has even hosted him for their annual Welcome Back concert. Snowball, Red Rocks and many small gigs have gotten Minnesota to where he is now. Specializing in bass music, Minnesota’s sound roots itself in names like Bassnectar, Marty Party, and Mimosa. What makes Christian’s music unique however is the constant ethereal feeling that engulfs the listener. Prepare to be taken away when Minnesota takes the stage and leads the rocks through a soulful bass-journey.

For all you grimy trap-heads out there…ETC! ETC! enough said. Gnarly bass and heavy trap elements will permeate through the surrounding cities of Morrison, heck, maybe even to Denver. Fast tempos paired with aggressive vocal clips are sure to be heard during ETC! ETC!’s set. With an electro house vibe and a down dirty beat-ETC! ETC! will have people twonkin’ all over the rocks.

Such a diverse yet all electronic music line-up is exactly what Colorado’s music fam needs. The Red Rock Gods have spoken! Be sure to get your tickets before they sell out! “Stay Gold” and see you there! xx
