The one and only Rusko makes his return to Minneapolis this Saturday, August 25! The talented dubstep DJ and producer who’s originally from England shares sounds similar to Caspa who is also a very influential and longtime DJ/producer within the dubstep community. Rusko made his debut in 2006 with his EP release SNES Dub, followed by another EP release in 2007 that includes one of his more infamous tunes such as “Cockney Thug”. He will grace the historic First Ave with his presence after a 5 years without a solo set here. His last solo performance was in April of 2013 where he played at Skyway Theatre.

Although Minneapolis itself hasn’t seen Rusko for a long time, the entire music community had to suffer his absence after being diagnosed with Gastric Lymphoma in the spring of 2017. Rusko cancelled all upcoming events for that summer and didn’t return to the stage until February of 2018 after he was given the all clear to perform again. Everyone has been waiting for the chance to see Rusko again, and the Twin Cities music scene is certainly just as eager.

This long-awaited performance is all thanks to Snowta Fest and TC Presents. Snowta NYE has been an annual event for 2 years now with the 3rd annual event to take place this coming January 30th and 31st. After an extremely successful first two years, the company has evolved into not only a New Year event but a year-round event company responsible for bringing a lot of great music to the Twin Cities. Of course, we also have TC Presents to thank for this. They have been bringing in shows for 9 years now and are the reason the music scene in the Twin Cities is what it is today.

This Saturday, Rusko will be supported by COM3T, a dubstep DJ/producer from Los Angeles, as well as The Four Horseman. Doors will be open at 8 PM and the show starts at 9 PM. Make sure to get down to First Ave early for a full night of great music!
