Like a psychedelic spaceship sent to blast out our ears with some heavy bass-rays, Freddy Todd and kLL sMth are descending upon Denver during a stop on The Sizzle Tour. This is going to be more than spicy, we’re going straight to HOT.
We all have our favorite venues and The Black Box sits high on the list for those of us dedicated to patrolling the Denver bass scene. On November 2nd, the Box is hosting Freddy Todd and kLL sMth as they bless us with beats that range from the highest highs to the lowest lows. kLL sMth is local to Colorado and both artists play the scene quite often, but let’s be real, who doesn’t want to hit up Denver these days?
The show promises some tracks off of the Condor EP, the latest to emerge from Freddy Todd, and just like the Black Box - his style is off the grid. Freddy Todd is like drinking a music milkshake that’s made out of Motown, blues, techno, dubstep, and funk all blended up and topped off with a glitchlicious acid bass unicorn cherry. Combine this with the sexy bass-time kLL sMth brings to the table and you can guarantee the Black Box is going to be turning that state-of-the-art sound system up to max. If you haven’t listened to their collab, Digitally Sizzlin’, then you are missing out. It’s like hip-hop meats funky glitch freestyle.
This show is 18+ and tickets are on sale now with GA selling for 25$ before fees and VIP (21+ only) going for 40$. You can buy tickets here. If you can’t make this show (then you’re lame, JK…) you might be able to catch them on some of the other pitstops The Sizzle Tour is making this year including The New Parish in Oakland, CA on November 14th and The Animas City Theatre in Durango, CO on November 16th.
