Dreaming at Red Rocks on the Horizon!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is all set to host one of it most anticipated shows this Thursday, September 1st. Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, better known by their stage name The Chainsmokers are all set to take over this magical venue along with some of the most talented up and coming acts in the game. Dreaming Red Rocks has been sold out for over 5 months with sold out tickets going for as high as $300 a piece.

Releasing hit song after hit songs, their newest song featuring Halsey has swept the nation by storm, landing itself a #1 spot on Billboard and iTunes. “Closer” gives a shoutout to the beautiful Boulder, Colorado, a perfect marketing move to hype up an already highly sought after show. Racking up over 728k followers on Soundcloud alone, the Chainsmokers have broken the internet time and time again with releases such as “Don’t Let Me Down”, “Roses”, and “Inside Out”. Along with remixes such as Life of Dillon’s “Overload” and Say Lou Lou’s “Julian” this duo has helped permanently change the EDM scene.

Joined by the likes of heRobust, San Holo, Shaun Frank, Cln, and Tep No, this lineup is jam packed with diversity and talent from top to bottom. Unlike many other Red Rocks shows, this lineup brings in a plethora of live acts Colorado fans have been dying to see. HeRobust has been known to throw down some of the heaviest trap sets in the scene, with releases such as “Pump This” racking up over 2 million songs on Soundcloud alone. With almost 150k Soundcloud followers, it’s no surprise that each and every song heRobust puts out is an instant hit. His recent remix of D.R.A.M’s “Broccoli” can be compared to the sound design of Marshmello, perfectly exemplifying the immense amount of talent this young producer possesses.

And as if these two acts weren’t enough, future bass star San Holo is sure to bring some of the most uplifting international vibes imaginable. With tracks such as “We Rise”, “Fly”, and “Can’t Forget You”, San Holo has racked up 300k Soundcloud followers along with starting his own collective bitbird. You may have heard of San Holo from his remixes of “Next Episode” or “Ms. Jackson”. Following performances at the 1UP on Colfax and a sold out show at Beta Nightclub, Denver fans have long awaited the return of San Holo to the most prestigious stage Colorado has to offer.

Remember that song “Closer”? What if I told you the producer who originally helped compose it was performing as well! You’re in luck, as melodic house star Shaun Frank bring a deep house vibe that is euphoric, engaging and unique. With beautiful chord voicing to compliment catchy melodies and angelic vocals, Shaun Frank is giving deep house a new angle. His remix of Duke Dumont’s “Ocean Drive” just reached 3 million plays on Soundcloud alone. Shaun is sure to provide a perfect performance for what else is in store later in the night.

Along with a chilled out future bass scene from rising Australian sensation Cln, this lineup is hands down one of the most diverse electronic events Red Rocks has seen to date. Cln combines elements of Odesza, What so Not, and Tycho to create a  captivating sound complimented by smooth vocal chops and excellent synth work.

Unfortunately, this show has been long sold out. If you managed to get your hand on a ticket, guard it with your life. I personally have never seen such a high demand for an electronic Red Rocks show in my life. Be sure to expect one of the coolest sets you’ve witnessed when the Chainsmokers hit the stage. As for the Colorado Illenials, be on the lookout for the breakout remix of “Don’t Let Me Down” that has racked up over 50 million plays on Soundcloud. Doors open at 6 and I strongly suggest making your way in soon after. These acts aren’t likely to make their way back around to this historic venue for at  least a year and I can assure you they won’t disappoint. Get ready for a night in heaven Colorado, Dreaming at Red Rocks is only 4 days away!
