Tipper Brings All His Friends for the Full Moon Gathering

Do you enjoy letting your freak flag fly? How about dancing under the full moon with best friends new and old? In that case, you don’t want to miss Tipper and Friends’ Full Moon Gathering.

Anyone who has ever seen Tipper before can tell you, it is an out-of-this-world experience. A soundscape of extraordinary caliber married with unparalleled visuals blasts you off into another realm. With a diverse range of moods, from downtempo, to uptempo, to ambient and beyond, Dave Tipper knows just how to mix it up to craft the perfect atmosphere and experience. He will no doubt be pulling out all the stops for Tipper and Friends’ Full Moon Gathering at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida this April. We can expect Friday to close off with a Tipper Uptempo set under the Full Moon, while Johnathan Singer and Android Jones will unite and narrate Tipper’s ‘Journey’ set on Saturday, plus much more.

Beyond Tipper’s music, we can also look forward performances from all his friends, including Ott., performing a twilight set of his spacetronica splendor, along with a psybient Shpongle sunrise set. Cut Chemist will also be joining the party, mixing hip hop influences with a variety of sounds from all over the world, as well as Bogtrotter’s psychedelic swamp-hop, Teebs’s ambient eclectic electro, Sixis’s trippy glitch, Jade Cicada’s dreamy spiritual vibrations, Medisin’s wide range of hypnotic sounds, and many more, including Lusine, Evac, and Selector Cleofus. Tipper will also be reuniting with Mike Wallis to perform as Crunch in the for the first time in over a decade in the US. This collaboration gave way to shape and form the Tipper music we know today. Taking influences from hip hop, old school electro, and much more, Crunch’s roots gave way to infinite musical aspirations blooming into reality.

Along with a massive lineup of musicians, attendees of Tipper and Friends can anticipate a newfound appreciation for the plethora of visionary artists gracing our current generations. MARS-1, aka Mario Martinez, is the featured artist for Tipper and Friends, incorporating a “signature style of vast, abstracted, quasi-extraterrestrial looking landscapes featuring imagery of surreal distortions, contained within spherical convex transparent bubbles.” Mimicking and capturing the essence life’s beauty in motion, MARS-1 will be live painting in the Amphitheater with his beautiful creations alongside him, along with other visionary painters, sketchers, and creators.  A plethora of other art installations will surround Suwanee, inviting lunartics to gaze in wonder as they frolic, play, and dance with Tipper and Friends. Projection mapping by Johnathan Singer,  Android Jones, and Double You are the cherry on top of a visually and sensually stimulating wonderland.

Tipper and Friends offered a creative way to incorporate flow arts into the event, as well. This event has all the bases covered. Flow Jam Coordinators have planned a Friday Night Full Moon Flow, a collaboration of numerous respected flow artists and members of the production team. The Flow Jam will occur on Friday night under the full moon; selected flow artist performers will rise at the front of the amphitheater and perform with LED’s and celebrate this incredible gathering under the moonlight.

Delight your senses as you wander through the captivating Spanish Moss and Oak woods of Suwannee, whether it’s hanging at your campsite making s’mores over the campfire, dancing into another dimension at the Amphitheater, or gazing at the overflowing art surrounding the venue. Magic is in the air, and you don’t want to miss it.
