- Blue Scholars in Boulder 10/23 at Fox Theater, 10/25 in Denver at Bluebird
Once again, the music gods are shining down on Colorado with the unexpected visit of super-duo BLUE SCHOLARS. The Seattle based hip-hop crew consisting of MC Geo and DJ Sabzi will be cruising through Boulder’s Fox Theater on Friday October 23rd, and Denver’s Bluebird theater on the 25th. Together they create some of the most powerful, poetic music that’s truly a pleasure to listen to; and with their surprise visit to Colorado I feel proud as hell to call myself a citizen of this great state.
Since 2002, Geo and Sabzi have been spreading the word of social injustices, government corruption, and youth empowerment through music that can only be described as inspiring, blood-pumping, heavenly poetry. Producing some of the best beats on planet earth, and spitting some of the truest rhymes in the galaxy, these two come together to create something seriously legendary. Its been a while since these cool cats have announced a show, and Colorado got oh so lucky with not one, but TWO nights of the musical geniuses themselves, Blue Scholars.
Opening for the Scholars in Boulder is Seattle based hip-hop artist, Grynch. In Denver, Brothers From Another will be starting off the night just right. With all these artists from the Pacific Northwest traveling to the Rockies, I can feel it in my chest that these two nights will be some of the best. If you listen to music at all, I cannot recommend enough going to at least one of these shows. I don’t care if you have to swim, crawl, skate, parachute, or hitch to these performances, get your ass here and a night full of high-fiving, red eyes, and head nodding will be had.
Cop your tickets to their Boulder show and/or Denver show below! See you there people.
