Funkadelic-electro-rock duo Zion Godchaux and Russ Randolph are bringing their act BoomBox back to the historic Boulder Theater for two nights on their spring tour - TONIGHT. And Bass Feeds the Soul has a ticket for you and a friend!
BoomBox throws a live show that is unique to each night, each venue, each crowd, and especially each vibe. BoomBox is known to never come up with a preset setlist - their shows are always fresh, feeding off the energy the crowd directs towards the stage, creating a symbiotic relationship between audience and band members. Coming out of Alabama, the duo’s music is anything but typical. BoomBox blends funk and psychedelica with jazz, soul, electro, rock, and everything in between. Their smash hit “Stereo” could easily be mistaken for a tune straight out of the 70s, with its vinyl feel, syncopated drums, and groovy bassline. The live aspect of this band truly harnesses the talent of these guys, both talented drummers and gifted producers. Randolph is the master of the keys while Godchaux slays the guitar, bass, vocals. BoomBox uses a blend of programming and live instrumentation to create their shows as an entirely original set.
Gracing the Boulder Theater with their outrageous talent, BoomBox encourages everyone to bring out only their best dancin’ shoes and permeating good vibes. If there is anything that is a given for this show, it is that the Boulder Theater will be transforming into a melting pot of eras, dissipating all sense of time and infecting the body with a case of the boogie fever. Catch these guys in Boulder before the head off to tour around the country this summer at festivals like All Good and Wakarusa!
