Walking around Decadence we saw some and heard some pretty crazy things. With ecstatic people running around with their friends throughout the venue. The music was pumping through each room that seemed like a giant dance party filled with fantastic groups of ravers. Everywhere you turned there was something new to see! While we were exploring the vast rooms we ran into some fellow attendees that saw or overheard some pretty great stuff! Read what they encountered below:
“The funniest thing that happened while at Decadence was during Bassnectar this guy kept coming up to me saying he was DoodleBob from Spongebob and would act like he was erasing my face because “the bass was so good” I have no idea who he was but he made my night!” - Madi L.
“This guy had just peeled a tangerine and Bassnectar had some galactic visuals up and he was pretending to use the fruit like an adjustable telescope” - John K.
“Funniest thing I saw at decadence is the look on the faces of the people where you can tell it's their first Nectar show and they look at all the dedicated fans in the front going crazy. It seems to blow their mind how we hang onto every note and lyric and how we get so into it and lose ourselves, because at one time I was that casual outsider living my first rail experience with other dedicated fans” - Joel T.
“The funniest thing I saw at Decadence was seeing an older couple looking in shock and awe at all the headbangers at Borgore’s set! One of my favorite moments!” - Robert S.
“So I met this group during Odesza (Which (at that set) there was a lot of love being radiated)
But this girl had this ball that absorbed sound waves and would vibrate, and as far as funny shit goes, she would go up to folks with it and put it on their arm or head and then they would be so amazed with the vibrating ball” - Winn L.
“So I was on the rail at the start of W&W talking to a wook/basshead girl and she wasn't sure if she wanted to stay on that stage because she didn't know what kind of music W&W play. All of a sudden a pretty bro-ish dude starts intently looking over the rail and asking what brand the subs were. She immediately says "oh hell no, I'm out" and runs off.” - Jason R.
“The best thing I saw there was in the dome and there was a back massage train” - Sarah C.
“Somebody said “porter Robinson sucks” while walking by me. I’ve never laughed so hard in my entire life” - Jade M.
“I saw a kid in front of me during the ball drop recording with his flash on and the camera facing the wrong way towards me then he realized after awhile” - Scotty W.
“The funniest thing I saw was probably all the half naked people complaining about how cold it was” - Brennon R.
“I heard someone say, as they were leaving Rufus du sol, say “what is this? Music for Oprah?”” - Ana M.
