Blossom at Sonic Bloom this June: Music Meets Meaning

Nestled in Spanish Peaks Country just two and a half hours south of Denver is Hummingbird Ranch, the home of Colorado’s premier electronic music and arts festival, Sonic Bloom. The perfect coalition of music and conscious living, Sonic Bloom has provided attendees an unrivaled experience of transformational fun for over ten years. This year’s festival takes place June 15th-18th during the Summer Solstice of 2017.

Music is plentiful and the selection is wide at Hummingbird Ranch. Headliner Gigantic Cheese Biscuits tops the bill, with names such as Phutureprimitive, Space Jesus, Barclay Crenshaw, and Desert Dwellers following. Along with a heaping serving of beats, Sonic Bloom offers a myriad of performance art and boasts an impressive list of live painters. Want to get up and moving? Yoga and movement classes are abundant at Bloom every year. There’s also a number of eye opening speakers and workshops to keep your mind sharp when your limbs become tired of dancing.

Sonic Bloom has joined forces with Permaculture Action Network and Gaia Craft to create the Permaculture Design Plan, which will ensure many more Blooms at Hummingbird Ranch in the years to come. They also developed three days of intellectual guidance at the ranch prior to the festival called the Sonic Bloom Academy. During these days, attendees can choose from the yoga/movement series, visionary arts series, permaculture series, or Ableton Live series to become immersed in the knowledge of professionals on site. ZeroHero and SunPort are also contributing largely to the greenifying of Bloom by making sure the festival leaves no trace and that all electricity is completely offset by solar energy. The uniting of so many talented individuals within the Sonic Bloom community truly makes it a United Field.

The site of the festival grounds is the site of individual and collective transformation that proves to be a unique and cherished experience every summer solstice. Sonic Bloom is inclusive of all of Mother Earth’s children, the festival puts forth inspiring activities and performances for all. Camping on the picturesque Hummingbird Ranch comes included with every 4-Day GA pass. Car parking passes and car camping passes are purchased separately. There are also VIP upgraded passes and VIP passes for those who wish to experience the best Sonic Bloom has to offer, including early entry, reserved parking and camping, special lounges, food and beverage tickets (all organic of course), and a ton of free merchandise. Transportation is made green and easy with ride shares and pick-ups in Denver and Boulder by ShareTheBus, which offers a safe and affordable way to and from the ranch

This festival is a staple to the great state of Colorado. The blooming that takes place on Hummingbird Ranch each summer is something everyone should experience. Sonic Bloom offers more than just fun memories and good music, it offers of place for the blossoming of humanity and the uniting of likeminded souls. It offers a community that thrives off of passion, hope, and action.
