Every artist started somewhere, and chances are if they are playing at a festival, they’ve got something going for them! This year Global Dance did a great job of bringing in the big names that people wanted to see, but they also did a wonderful job bringing in a variety of talent. Festivals are about more than just the headliners, so this year at Global Dance Festival go out of your way to catch a set you weren’t planning on seeing, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Entering the game young, Austin Pawelka started his career 3 years ago at the age of 17. He has continued to pursue his dreams with relentless determination, carrying residencies at some of Denver’s biggest night clubs. His passion for his craft shows when he throws down his high energy sets. This Denver native is one musician to keep on your radar, and definitely a set you won’t want to miss at GDF this year.
Aaron Cole has created a strong following in the trance and progressive house community. His songs radiate the warmth that he shows towards his fans, which keep them coming back for more. He has had great success with his three EPs Revival, Coast to Coast, and his latest drop The Flow, which can be found here. If trance is your genre of choice, or you are looking for a set to get lost in, make time in your festival schedule for MaHi.
Joseph Mancuso has been making waves in the music scene since 2008. This Denver native is a resident DJ at several Night Clubs, but what truly makes him stand out is his creativity within his music. Officially receiving support from hit television show Always Sunny in Philadelphia, his remix titled “Daymanstep” quickly went viral. During his live sets, Joman has been known to throw down everything from Dubstep to progressive house. Playing sets from EDC Las Vegas to Red Rocks, Joman truly knows how to put on a good show, and should be added to all GDF bucket lists.
Luke is a Denver based producer and turntablist with a knack for Dubstep. With a heavy influence from video games and companies such as Nintendo, Final Boss likes mixing the sounds of those old school video games with dubstep creating a very unique sound. Recently playing an electrifying set at Global Dub Fest in May, the musical video game nerds are once again getting ready for their brains to be melted at Red Rocks will you be there to join them?
Donnie Miller a Denver native has stormed into the Bass Music scene, and is truly leaving his mark. As a younger artist in the industry he has surprised many with his talent. At 17 Donnie had released music with two record labels, with his tracks gaining a lot of recognition on Beatport, some of his tracks breaking into the top 10 charts. He has shared the stage with artists such as Dada Life, Dillion Francis, and Diplo. If you are looking for an up and coming high energy EDM producer to follow and show your friends, Decadon is the right artist for you. Make sure you catch his set this year at Red Rocks because next time you get to see him, he will be headlining a show you won’t be able to afford to go to!
